July, 2020 – Winter

We had hoped our next meeting would involve a Group outing. But due to the current Covid situation we have decided we still need to do our own photography and meet on Zoom.
The Theme is  – WINTER  2020 .  Everyone is here experiencing Winter either in Melbourne or somewhere in Victoria.
So lets see what you can come up with to depict Winter.  Iphone photos are fine.  This is more about the challenge and variety of images and ideas than the quality of the photos.
The Zoom meeting will be Friday 31st July at 7 30 pm.

June, 2020 – Close to home

Owing to our social restrictions we have decided the next Scenic Group challenge will be photographs taken in your local area.  Maybe within 5 kms from home, on your local walk or right in your own back yard, wherever you can find an interesting subject.

We will then hold a Zoom meeting on Friday the 12th of June at 7.30pm to discuss and analyse the images.

February, 2020 Mornington

The first outing for 2020 was to Mornington with the following agenda:
1. Meeting at 3.30pm at Tom Putts photographic Gallery 139 Main St Mornington.

3. Between 5-6 we will be at Docs Pizza Bar 22 Main St Mornington for coffee and snack of pizza or other.
4. Meet at approx. 6pm Main Pier area Mornington. People can disperse and take photos at any time.
The weather forecast is fine and sunset is 8.18 pm.

4th May 2019 – Puffing Billy/Emerald Lake

From the organisers…. Our recent outing to The Dandenongs was certainly a challenge. The Dandenongs weather threw everything at us and we persevered and had a good day. Well done all. I hope everyone enjoyed the outing and managed to get some photos they were happy with.
The follow up meeting is scheduled for Friday 7th June at home of Pam Rixon.

3rd March 2019 – Half Moon Bay, Black Rock

The Inaugural outing for the DCC Scenic Group was on Sunday 3rd March at Half Moon Bay for a late afternoon sunset photo shoot.

Fifteen members attended the meeting.  After a hot day that saw many people still enjoying the beach, the clouds arrived followed by a cool change. We did see some colour on the water and land as the sun set and hopefully people found find plenty of photographic opportunities and were challenged particularly with some long exposures.

Photos from the day will be added to this page as they are received following processing.  In the meantime here are some initial ones:
